{ Wedding Wednesday } Mollie + Taylor

Mollie & Taylor brought a modern twist to their perfect day. Incorporating black & white stripes with hues of pinks & purples made this wedding’s color palette pop.  This fun couple was a dream for George and his “More is More” approach to flowers.  Let’s just take a minute to ‘fan girl’ over their jaw dropping floral chandelier.

Heart eyes for days!

Mollie & Taylor’s head table was off the charts! With sculptured florals on boxwood walls & candles illuminating The Fleuriste’s custom art walls, the backdrop for this wedding’s head table was an amazing focal point!  The fabulous Ace Cuervo captured every moment of it.
And of course none of this could have been completed without the lady with the whole plan: Judy Lehmbeck.

From their sweet pup; to their precious flower girls & ring bearer; their whole squad was ready to celebrate this fairytale. Not to mention they had the fabulous Ariana Simms with Aisle be With you to make sure their day was planned perfectly.

Katy and her beau John had the sweetest day we could imagine! We wanted to bring something spectacular to this couple on their big day in Enid, Oklahoma.  An abundance of Roses, Vanda Orchids & Hydrangeas filled the room.  Our fabulous lumen light sculptures (custom made by The Fleuriste’s production team) brought the glitz and glam. With the bright colors & bright lights, we were sure to illuminate this fun couple’s personality!

It’s no shock that the talented Amy Cakes brought the wow factor with her gorgeous { & delicious } wedding cake.  But the ultimate surprise was a visit from Pistol Pete himself for these die hard OSU fans!

Victoria & Carter brought Palm Springs to Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club with their tropical mid mod wedding. Monstera leaves & paradise vibes set the stage for this on trend affair. This spunky bride brought us her unique ideas and we had a blast bringing them to life.

And to top it all off, she sported a custom leather jacket (that she tricked out) with her new last name, “Mrs. Stills” on the back!

Squad Live brought the hype to get the party started and Hart Media captured it all on vid…a total must see!

{ Team Fleuriste Spotlight } Sal

{ Team Fleuriste Spotlight } Sal

Today’s feature is The Man.The Myth. The Legend…Sal! This friendly guy does not have the word “stranger” in his vocab, everybody is Sal’s friend!

This character is a notorious joke teller, this cheerful man is behind the wheel for The Fleuriste driving our trucks and helping us with any number of odd jobs around the store. He knows every back road in town, the dirt on every family you’ve ever heard of, still uses a flip phone and has a heart of gold! We can’t wait for you to meet our Sal Pal!

What is your favorite part of your job? I love working with the other members of the team. I also love to deliver flowers to the ladies who are home and see their smiling faces! #charmer

What does a typical work day look like? When I first get to work, I’ll see what we have on the calendar for the day and get my instructions. Each day is different, which keeps it interesting for me.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working? I like to mingle! { THIS is why he rocks! Always ready for a great time! }

Where did you work before The Fleuriste? Right before coming to The Fleuriste, I worked at Michael’s Florist for eight years to the day. Before that, I was retired but before that, I was in the restaurant business. My late wife and I owned “Sissy’s Tea and Luncheon Room” in the First National Center. She wouldn’t let me in the kitchen { wonder why? } so I worked the front of the restaurant while she was in the back, I guess you could call me the customer relations guy!

Do you have a { clean and short } joke you can share with us? We can’t technically put what he said in writing but just know it was hilarious!

{ Team Fleuriste Spotlight } Jake

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]

{ Team Fleuriste Spotlight } Jake

Today we are pumped to introduce you to the man with a plan, Jake! Jake is part of our production crew and brings the perfect amount of sarcasm to complete our crew. A little sassy and a whole lot of crafty are two very important skills needed to be a successful member of our team… This is exactly why he fits in perfectly!

Jake’s been working in the event world for years. It’s pretty obvious to tell though because when it comes to event days, Jake is ready for whatever! Experience is one of the many great traits he brings to #teamfleuriste. If you are looking for something fun, fresh and unique we are certain that our production team can make it happen! In his own words, here is more about Jake…

So how exactly do you get prepped for an event?  I look at the projects for the week and start executing a plan. With each event being different from the next we really try to strategize from the start so we know how much time we need in order to get the projects done.

What makes events so great to you? I love events because we get to build stuff and make people’s day wonderful. It really is all about making someone feel good.

What do you like building most for events? I like building anything with acrylics most. However, I work more with wood. Regardless of what we are building for an event I know that we have to be precise in order to make it really stand out and be different than anything else. It’s awesome when we build something that is original and never been seen before.

So we hear you have a favorite tool brand. What is itFunny you ask… Secretly, I like Milwaukee. However, just to get under Brad’s skin I tell him I like Dewalt. Brad is obsessed with Milwaukee products so it’s funny to go against him and watch him unfold. #rebel

What is your favorite part of The Fleuriste? My favorite part is the team and how everyone works together! This is a team that knows how to have fun, yet get things done at the same time. It’s an awesome experience! { Okay, WOW! That was the kindest answer! }

{ TEAM FLEURISTE SPOTLIGHT } BRAD

[av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=”]

{ Team Fleuriste Spotlight } Brad

Today we are shining the light on the man who has a solution to making events bigger and better. With 30 years of experience behind him; Brad is definitely going to blow your mind with what he can do. Acrylics, woodwork, lighting and welding are his big things. Brad has the ability to transform anything.

Since Brad joined #teamfleuriste, we’ve learned various noteworthy things about him. For example: country music is his jam. Most days we feel like we are at a concert because of how loud he likes to have his music. We haven’t seen any dance moves yet; but we are 100% sure he’s doing a couple of spins here and there. Another noteworthy observation… Brad suffers from major Glitter & Sparkalaphobia. It’s hard to believe that such a tough guy is frightened by just a little sparkle and shimmer!

Other than the aforementioned “important things to know about Brad”, we ask him some questions to get to know him even better. Here’s what he said…

What’s something you love about work? First off, Esther. She makes work so much fun! She always has a smart remark that makes me laugh. However, being friendly and providing good customer service is what I truly like most about the job. For instance, when Judy Lehmbeck looks at me with those big eyes and says “Brad, it needs something more, do you have any ideas?” This is when I come alive, this is what I live for!

What’s a typical day at work look like for you? Everyday really is different. Depending on the event we are working on determines what I’ll be doing. I spend most of my time in “Build It” trying to come up with “the next big thing” as George says.

What makes an event unique to you?
I think lighting is the key to an event. Not only does it make the room look different; but I think it makes a huge difference in featuring the flowers and props. It really makes them look even better. Lastly, I think that having something at an event that is handcrafted is a plus. When welding things it allows me to create something that is different than anything before. This gives an opportunity to make one event stand out from the next.

So how do you prep for an event? For one, I do sight visits to see the venue. This really helps me get an idea how big or small I can make something. If an event has a floral chandelier, I go to the venue a couple weeks before to see how it can be hung.

Why do you like building for events so much? Because I know that the end design is going to be memorable for the event. For example any time I’m making something for a wedding, I keep in mind that what I’m making is going to make the couple happy. It’s easy to get caught up with thinking it’s just another day; but for many brides they dream about their wedding their whole life. I put in all my effort to make sure they are completely happy because I want their dream to become a reality.
